Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies
HST Letter for Fairs to send to MPP Print E-mail
News - News
Monday, 28 December 2009 06:59

The OAAS Executive and Government Liaison Committee have sent a letter to Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty and Finance Minister Dwight Duncan with respect to the proposed Ontario Harmonized Sales Tax.

We are attaching a modified version of this letter, for use by your Agricultural Society if you wish to send it to your local MPP, or to other elected officials as you see fit.  Please feel free to change or add to this letter as your own situation might dictate.

Please note that we are by no means saying that you MUST send this letter – our Association is making an attempt to have our voice heard regarding this proposed tax, and it may have more effect if a good number of Agricultural Societies let their MPPs know the effect the HST will have on our industry.
